What did you do with the rest of her?

She is plastered inside the wall.
No what happened was that I didn't like that one piece of chair rail. I had to glue the right side & when I removed it the dry wall came with it. I would never abuse my wife. She can hit a 1/2 bulls eye at 50 yards with a flint lock muzzle loader. I try not to piss her off but for some reason I accidentally do. I always get the short end of the stick
& it heart's. She is not to be messed with. I always call her the Tasmanian she devil.
My wife has finely made up my mind on what brand & shade/color of laminate. She did me a favor & never left the house.
We are going with Pergo XP Extreme Performance. It is the top of the line & is made in the US. It is called Alexandria Walnut. Looks like oak to me. It is on sale at Home Depot for $2.49 a square foot. $32.60 a case. I need 30 cases for a 22.5 ft x 15.5 ft room. Total with tax $1041. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

OK, So what do you all do. Hire someone to do your home improvements. I do all my own work. I can do a better job than most contractors. They take way to many short cuts. When I built on my family room & back porch in 1998 it cost me $8,000 & added $30,000 to the value of my house. In 97 I added the 4 th bed room & 3 rd bath with a 2 person Jacuzzi. It cost me $12,000. It added $40,000 to the value of my house. I went form 1700 sq ft home to a 3200 sq ft home. I more than doubled the value of my home & it is free & clear.
I got an estimate to have 2 windows & 2 sliding glass doors put on my 16' x 12' porch. They wanted $10,000. I can do it for $2600. When I put a new roof on in 2012 which is 3600 square feet they wanted $17,000. I have $4500 in materials & I paid a friend who is a roofer $1300 to help me. We had to remove 2 layers of shingles & replace 5 sheets of plywood.
All the woman's hobbies you guys mentioned are great but I like ceramics & pottery myself. Used to meet a lot of girls that way.

Put up 2 new Hunter ceiling fans today. A 44" in the computer room & a 52" in the family room. I prepped the floors. The red looking floor used to be the porch. I had to do some leveling on the old porch part. What I did to level it was fill it with water. Let it puddle up & mark the high spots with a yellow water proof chalk. Then I ground down the high spots. It is now all within an 1/8 of an inch. I removed 6 gallons of concrete dust. I installed the kicker plate gismo against the sliding glass door kick/slider plate.
My Dad taught me most of what I know. I laid my first concrete block wall when I was 12. My Dad was hurt really bad in 1966 in a cave in in the coal mines so I had to learn & help him with everything around the house & on the cars. I also learned a lot from my brother doing auto body work. He owned his own shop for 45 years. I started helping him at age 14. I also helped 2 of my brother-in-laws build there houses. I had 2 Ford mechanics as neighbors who also taught me how to wrench on cars. My oldest brothers good friend owned a Honda Dealership in IN PA who I worked for in the Summer while in High School. I bought 2 dirt bikes from him at cost & used the money I made to pay for them. I really would hate going threw life having to pay someone to do what I can do.
After I got home from my bike ride from Daytona I put down the tack strip in front of the French Doors that separates my Great Room from the Family/Computer Room. I also put down the vapor barrier. I was not going to put down the vapor barrier, but after talking to a Pergo Rep I decided to do it anyway. It is going to rain for the next 3 days so riding should not tear me away from my project. Hope to be done laying the laminate floor by Fri night. I'm going to take my time because this is my first laminate floor. I helped do a few but I really did not take everything in as I should have.
Finally done laying the laminate floor. It took longer than I thought it would mostly because of returning damaged flooring to Home Depot. I returned/exchanged 10 cases in all. My wife took off work last Thu & Fri to help me. My younger son did the last 7 rows himself Sat. I just was not up to doing much of anything Sat. We also had to take up five rows because of a damaged piece so that sat us back a bit.
