Thanks. The acrylic grout gets hard as a rock. I tested it on a sheet of plywood the day before I used it. I'd check it every 5 minutes to see how long it took to set up. I used several tools to try to lift it and it would not budge from the plywood. No need to seal it either. 
That's a nice looking tub surround. What is it made of. I put a shower unit in our master bathroom in 1997. It has 3 or 4 cracks in it. It needs replaced. Today I finished up with the recessed shelve and the back shower wall. The vertical 24" x 16" rear section of concrete board I glued it to the back side of the dry wall with liquid nails. I filled in all the gaps in the seams with slab calk then finished with the red guard. Time spent 6 hours. 
Acrylic is good. Our masters shower surround is some type of plastic. It's very thin. We will be going to tile as is the other 2 bathrooms. Our new bath tub is fiber glass with an acrylic acrylx over lay reinforced with armrcore. ________________________________________________ 
Today I started installing the tile around the tub area. Another job I would not want to do for a living.

Today I done some more tile. The 4 inch decorative tile and cutting around the plumbing took longer than installing the tile. 
I got more tile done today. I ran out of mud or I would of finished. 
Thanks FERN. I've been at it for 7 Weeks now. I can't work like I used to. My wrists knees and back are hurting really bad. I hope to be done with this bathroom on the 24 th of October. I do all my own work on the house mostly because Contractors charge 3 times what I can do it for myself. Also they are always in a big hurry to get in and out and they cut corners.
At 6 AM today my wife scares me from a deep sleep to tell me that our master bath shower handle broke off and water was gushing out. So off to LOWES I went at 7 AM to buy a new shower unit. I bought a MOEN Caldwell model # 82495C. It was on sale for $110. I was checking the new cartridge holder unit for fitment after removing the old one and dropped it inside the wall. 
. A 124 volt outlet was right on the other side of the wall so I removed it to retrieve the unit. Around Noon my friend Donnie M. who happens to be a plumber stopped by during his lunch hour. 
. He says to me why in the hell are you sweating on that new cartridge holder use gator/shark bites. So Don went to his van and got some shark bites and finished up for me and charghed me nothing. 
. I get plumbing supplies from Don all the time and he never wants any money. 
Yesterday I finished up with the tile for the tub enclosure except for the nitch. I ran out of tile and it's dicontinued. . I tried 6 different Home DEPOTS. None have it. I'm pissed. I might put something different in the nitch. Last night my Son Jared painted the bathroom. He does good work. I taught him well. The next thing that I'll do is mount the toilet, the cabinet and the base board. Today I'm going to order the showers glass sliding doors. On October 18 South East Stone out of Orlando FL is coming to do the quartz countertop, back splash & drill the 3 holes for the faucet. 
Today I installed the toilet, cabinet, vanity light and some base board. 
My Wife came up with the idea to use the decorative trim in the nitch/recessed shelve. It took 4 hours. .

Today Southeast Stone came to install the vanitys quartz countertop, back splash and mount the under mount sink. They are located in Sanford FL. The sink is made by Kohler. It is the Caxton model. Price $94. The faucet is by Moen model Halle part # 84972SRN brushed nickel. Price $88. Also I installed the brushed nickel pee trap, drain and supply lines. Next up is all the towel bars, trim around the door and base board.
