Decembers fence work. We done 110 more feet of fence along the left front of the house. We are also laying new sod as we put up the fence.

January, February fence work, under ground electrical and sod laying. All's that we need to do is the gates.

Man, those long stretches got me thinking so I looked up some loadings for wind speed. If you're @ 6.5' high and using 16' boards, with a 75mph wind you will be looking at a 2000# load on each and every post. Didn't look at any storms you could see in that area but we just had 75mph here in PA and it wasn't a hurricane.

I hope it holds up for you. I would be tempted to add a post 4' Infront of your fence every so often and tie it back into the fence then make a trellis for some plants. That would also break up the sightline if that long stretch.

We are far enough from the beachs by time a Hurracane gets to our place most of the time they are down to a CAT 1. Having a 1/2" gap between each plank helps reduce wind load. Most fences that home owners have done are those prefabs from LOWES/HOME DEPOT do not have any spacing. Also they rot away in 5 years or so and the staples/nails rust away. They bow and twist in a few years. I got estimates from three Fence Co. 18K (prefab) to 22K (vinyl). I spent about 12.5K on materials. To pay for a six foot high fence 500 feet long with five gates that we done would of been near 40K. Most fence builders here in FL don't use concrete at the bottom of the posts. I used about 125/150 lbs on each post. They are set 20/24 inches in the ground. We set the 4x4 posts 5 feet apart. Most are set 6 to 8 feet apart.

That is a good size garage. . Here in Deltona FL they allow a home owner to build a garage 35% of the size of your house.

I need to address the roll up door leak but I started the load up of the shed.

We have Mac bid auction that auctions mail order returns. I picked up a bunch of things:
Amazon Ultrawall Garage Storage Pegboard sells for $150 got for $50 I split it up into 3 areas
Amazon 41" foldable table sells for $120 got for $50
Amazon garden cart sells for $87 got for $31
Amazon Welkin 8'5 X 22' containment mat sells for $240 got for $70 (will keep tractor water/mud off the wood floor)
Amazon hardware cloth 4'X100' sells for $100 got for $20

I think I did good on the prices.

It's a muddy mess outside, Wife is on board with a gravel a path from the driveway to the shed, the ramp will be gravel to the roll up door as well.

Rider mower and Kubota will be on the right side and a couple of bikes will be on the left side, that's why I thought a folding table was a good idea.

Just wondering. The shed must of been a lot cheaper from Northern Cambria than from another place closer to your place.

Thanks wuputt. Lots of stuff to move in yet. It will up fast once the ramp is done and there isn't 6" of mud to deal with.

RJ, our borough allows up to 400sf and considers it a shed. Garages are maxed out at 576sf (24x24), they give you a gravel pit size for water run off. Bigger and you pay the borough $3500 for engineering a water run off plan (sux because I know people in the biz that would do it free for me). Any size can be an addition to the house without a study

Nothings cheap nowadays especially delivery with a wide load with a lead vehicle. Heck a large plain pizza runs $22 for some flour, a bit of sauce and cheese! I think all the builders would be +/- 10% on a project like this.

Ground contact lumber, wrapped the header board with rubber left over from the deck projects new ramp!
Solar floodlights 1 outside, 2 inside and a solar pendant in the center

Bolted 2 metal cubical shelves to the freestanding shelves, hung the Cornhole and camp chairs. Weekends are too short!

I'm pretty impressed with the solar lights, the other flood light like above the door is behind the rafter at the front edge of the 4' deep shelf in the back.

Gravel path, yup another 8 1/2 ton but I can load the wheeled items without making a mess
Rider tucked in with room to walk in front of the tractor, I'll park it towards the door in the summer.got to take a spin on the XS11, road around the house not up the gravel hill.room for a quad and my XS750 with the bench folded.bench deployed little bit of propane heat when needed.

Looks really good. If I put down gravel like that it would be goan in a year. The FL sand would just absorb it. Also the weeds would grow threw what's left. Are you going to put down grass seed. That to is hard to do here in FL. The weeds take over before the grass has a chance to grow.
